Situation

This technical note describes new features and resolved issues in InfoConnect Desktop 16.0 Service Pack 1 (version 16.0.1.308), which released June 2016.

Resolution

Obtaining the Service Pack

Maintained customers are eligible to download the latest product releases at https://download.attachmate.com/Upgrades/.

New Features and Resolved Issues

This release includes the version 16.0 Update 1 features and fixes, as described in KB 7021851, plus the following additional features and fixes.

Key Improvements

  • Centralized Management:  Support for Micro Focus Advanced Authentication (MFAA). MFAA is an add-on for the Micro Focus Host Access Management and Security Server version 12.3 that provides several options for multi-factor authentication from the desktop.
  • A user can now import a legacy Extra or InfoConnect Hotspot Scheme file (*.ehs) from the Select a Hotspots File dialog.

Security updates

  • Connections using SSL/TLS no longer support 40-bit and 56-bit cipher suites.

Other Resolved Issues

  • Addressed an issue that could cause the MATIP service to stop on Windows 10.
  • Addressed issue causing CASL macros not to launch from Keymap, Toolbar, Quick Pad or Hot Spot action
  • The version of SSL/TLS is now more accurately displayed when you hover the mouse over the padlock that appear when connected securely in a session
  • A user can now import a legacy Extra or InfoConnect Hotspot Scheme file (*.ehs) from the Select a Hotspots File dialog.
