Environment

DATABridge version 6.1

Situation

After upgrading to version 6.1, the first time the DATABridge Client runs a process command, the DATABridge Engine or Enterprise Server sometimes returns the status (DBM020), which indicates an item count mismatch error.

Resolution

From the DATABridge Client, do one of the following:
  • From a command line, run the redefine command:
dbutility redefine
  • In the Client Console, from the Explorer view, select the data source and click Data Source > Advanced > Define/Redefine.

Note: Do not use the -R option with the define command (the Console equivalent is Redefine All). This redefines all of the data sets, which can cause problems if the data sets are not completely synchronized with the parameter settings in the client configuration file.

The item counts of affected datasets are set to the new values and the data tables are returned to their normal state. After the redefine is complete, the Client reports that processing can resume.

Additional Information

In version 6.1, the algorithm used to compute item counts was modified to better detect changes that resulted from changes in the support library.
