This technical note describes how to remove Reflection X Advantage from UNIX systems.
In the event that the /opt/rxadvantage/Uninstall_rxadvantage script fails, Reflection X Advantage can be manually removed by following the steps below.
ps eaf |grep rxs
rm fr /opt/rxadvantage
Remove the files listed below. The steps vary depending on your UNIX environment.
Note: If an attempt to remove a file fails, it may be because the file was already removed by the Uninstall_rxadvantage script or because the path is different on your system. Use the appropriate find command to determine if the file has been removed, and delete it if not.
Note: You can restore the Reflection X Advantage menu in this environment:
cp /etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/vfolders/applications-all-users.vfolder-info.attachmate_save /etc/gnome-vfs-2.0/vfolders/applications-all-users.vfolder-info
Note: Personal files (such as user preferences and the user database) are not removed with the application. If you choose to remove these as well, use the commands below.
User preferences: rm fr $HOME/.java/.userPrefs/com/attachmate
User database: rm fr $HOME/.attachmate
