Summary

Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On is an add-on to Reflection for IBM 2008, Reflection for UNIX and OpenVMS 2008, Reflection Standard Suite 2008, and Reflection Enterprise Suite 2008. In order to work correctly, Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On and the underlying Reflection 2008 installation must be at the same hotfix or service pack level. This technical note provides instructions for installing Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On and the latest update for Reflection 2008.

Note the following:

• The steps in this note assume that one or more Reflection 2008 products have already been installed.
• If you receive this error message, "Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information," following the steps in this note will correct it. (The error typically occurs when you run Reflection for NonStop 2008 and the hotfix or service pack has not yet been applied.)

Installing Reflection for NonStop 2008

The Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On download package contains the files necessary to install both the Reflection 2008 Update and the Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On. After you download the package, follow the installation steps below.

1. Unpack the Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On Download Package.
   1. Using Windows Explorer, locate the downloaded Reflection for NonStop Add-On package.
   2. When prompted, select the folder where you want to unzip the files. Click OK.
2. Install the Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On.
   1. Navigate to the location where you unzipped the Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On files.
   2. Run setup.exe.
   3. If necessary, the installer will prompt you to remove a previous installation of Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On and install the Attachmate Reflection 2008 Update before installing the latest Reflection for NonStop 2008 Add-On. Click Continue.
   4. Read and accept the Attachmate Software License terms. Click Next.
   5. Select "Apply to the Local installation on this workstation," and then click Finish to apply the patch update.
   6. You will see a message, "The patch was applied successfully." Click OK.

7. Read and accept the Attachmate Software License terms. Click Continue.
8. Click Install Now, and then click Close.
