If EXTRA! is installed on a machine with INFOConnect, you may receive an error when attempting to apply EXTRA! 9.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1). This technical note contains information to help you troubleshoot the error.
If EXTRA! is installed on a machine with INFOConnect, you may receive the following error when attempting to apply EXTRA! 9.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1):
The patch was unsuccessful. It returned error number: 1603This error message may occur if you have installed INFOConnect Enterprise Edition version 8.1 with the EXTRA! for Accessory Manager component (IBM and Open Systems installation access code) after EXTRA! X-treme 9.0 was installed.
If you require connectivity to Unisys (UTS/T27) hosts as well as IBM, UNIX, or OpenVMS hosts, see Technical Note 2260 for recommended alternatives. EXTRA! X-treme should not be installed on a system where INFOConnect has been installed with EXTRA! for Accessory Manager.
Although not recommended, you may apply EXTRA! 9.0 SP1 by running an msiexec command to install the *.msp file (without any /qn or /q parameter switch).
