Summary
Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 Service Pack 3 (SP3) is available to maintained users who already have R1. This technical note provides a link to Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 SP3, and a list of fixes and features included in the service pack, as well as those originally included in SP1 and SP2.
Note: This document references a Reflection service pack. Service packs are available to licensed Attachmate customers with current maintenance plans for these products. For information about logins and accessing the Attachmate Download Library, see Technical Note 0200.
Obtaining and Applying the Service Pack
Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 SP3, ri-2007-r1-sp3-ia32.exe, is available from the Attachmate Download Library and applies to Reflection for IBM 2007 R1.

What's Fixed in R1 SP3?
Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 SP3 provides the following improvements:
- Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 SP3 is certified as Citrix Ready.

- Support for the latest platforms, including: Microsoft Windows Vista SP1, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008, and Citrix XenApp.
- To improve Reflection startup performance on Windows XP, pre-loader functionality is included. Depending on the environment, application cold startup time may be reduced up to 35-50%. For more information, see Technical Note 2324.
- Various performance enhancements have been made, including a faster response to SendKeys and TransmitANSI calls when large amounts of data are transmitted.
- Reflection 2007 now opens in the same state it was in when you closed it.
- In the event that the application window was maximized when it was closed, it is maximized when it is opened. If you then click the Restore button in the upper right corner, it returns to the size and location it was in before it was maximized.
- If the Ribbon was hidden when the application was closed, it is hidden when the application is opened.
- The default for AS/400 Force Hex Conversion (Xfr400ForceHexConversion) is set to Yes.
- Session files that were created in EXTRA! version 7.0 and then migrated to EXTRA! version 9.0 can be opened.
- The keyboard can be used to select areas of the host terminal screen, using Shift in combination with arrow keys.
- You can enable the Reflection C/370 character set.
- Fixed issue with some keyboard mappings not properly migrated after opening an *.rsf settings file that was created in Reflection for IBM version 14.x or earlier.
- You can open multiple settings files in quick succession. Fixes intermittent “Could not read file” errors when quickly double-clicking several *.rd3x or *.rd5x settings files in Windows Explorer.
- You can use themes saved with white foreground color in Text Color Mapping. This no longer causes a “Could not read file….” error when starting Reflection.
- Event handler code will now continue to execute after long periods of inactivity. This fixes a debug exception message: System.InvalidOperationException was unhandled Message="Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute."
What's Fixed in R1 SP2?
Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 SP2 provides the following improvements:
- Enhanced support for legacy Reflection session (.RSF) files.
- Very large macros included in legacy Reflection session (.RSF) files load without errors.
- Custom keyboard mappings included in legacy Reflection session files display the expected characters.
- Better international support.
- International keyboards that may have displayed unexpected characters in response to keystrokes now display the correct characters.
- When creating a keyboard map for a language that is not supported directly by Reflection 2007, the English keyboard map is used as the basis for creating the custom map.
- Screen History accurately captures field outlines.
- General improvements have been made to the privacy filters, including the way they function with double-byte character sets and non-alphanumeric characters.
- The ENTER key on the numeric keypad can be used to select an entry from the autocomplete list.
- Spellchecker now works for words in position 1,1 on the screen.
- You can create a host connection using HLLAPI when running 64-bit Windows XP.
- If you clear the check box for Use OCSP, it now stays cleared.
What's Fixed in R1 SP1?
Reflection for IBM 2007 R1 SP1 provides the following improvements:
- Online Help is now available in French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese.
- Reflection 2007 now honors the Windows settings for hidden files, and doesn't display hidden files in File Transfer dialog boxes.
- Improved support is provided for long passwords in AS/400 file transfers.
- The log on pop-up window is changed so that when the user ID is provided by the auto-logon properties, the focus is automatically set to the password field.
- Automated IND$FILE transfers now work correctly.
- Minor improvements have been made to the APIs.
- Double-byte Character Support is improved
- Double-byte characters copy correctly when using the Copy as Bitmap function from Screen History.
- Typed double-byte characters add properly to the Recent Typing list.
- Double-byte characters used in Privacy Filters work correctly.
- An exception that occurred when closing HLLAPI applications in a hidden session is fixed.
- The problem that prevented the TransmitTerminalKey functions rcIBMRollUpKey, rcIBMRollDownKey, and rcIBMHelpKey functions from executing correctly in a legacy Reflection macro (which meant the aid key wasn't being sent to the host) is resolved.
- The issue that prevented opening URLs containing an ampersand (&) or equal sign (=) is fixed.
- A problem with the Field Minus key is resolved.
