This technical note lists new features in Verastream Transaction Integrator.
New Features
Verastream Transaction Integrator 4.0 includes the following new features and product improvements:
- A new project-based designer simplifies the work of building consumable services out of CICS and IMS applications. It includes:
- Improved copybook support enabling UI-based drag-and-drop control over tables, REDEFINES, and Condition Names (Level-88s).
- Enhanced workflow that enables editing any aspect of the copybook within the designer while building the client-facing operations.
- The ability to restructure client operations, including the use of aliases, renaming client elements, and changing the hierarchy of elements.
- Added flexibility when creating client interfaces.
- A simplified installation program covers various install scenarios and provides valuable feedback and status information during the installation.
- Intuitive application generation using Verastream Web Builder. Web Builder, available through the designer, generates interface objects for Java beans, XML task files, and .NET Web services.
- Combined CICS/IMS product implementation. The Verastream Transaction Integrator includes functionality for both CICS and IMS host types.
There are also numerous runtime improvements including increased performance and scalability with tailored control over target host programs.
