Summary

Verastream Transaction Integrator (VTI) Transaction Designer may display unrelated menu items and toolbar buttons. This technical note describes the symptoms and solution.

Symptoms

This issue is identified by the following items displayed in Transaction Designer:

- Additional menu items
- Navigate
- Search
- Additional toolbar buttons
- Search
- Next Annotation
- Previous Annotation
- Last Edit Location

Explanation

Transaction Integrator uses third-party Eclipse technology. This issue is caused by opening Eclipse built-in Team/CVS cheat sheets and enabling “JDT-Related Activities.”

Solution

Use the following steps to restore the normal menus and toolbar:

1. Close Transaction Designer if it is running.

2. Delete the .metadata folder typically found in the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user id>\My Documents\
Attachmate\Verastream\TransactionIntegrator\Designer\workspace\.metadata

When you run Transaction Designer, the normal menu and toolbar should be restored.
