What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way to get updated information from your favorite web sites without having to continually visit the site to see what's new. With RSS, you use an RSS reader or aggregator to sign up for RSS feeds. Then, when any of the sites you are subscribed to publishes updates to their feed(s), the updates are delivered to your RSS reader, giving you a single place to look for the lates news from your favorite web sites and blogs.

What does an RSS feed look like?
RSS feeds display a headline, summary, and an article or a link to the article. Attachmate publishes a New and Updated Technical Notes RSS feed. The feed is updated when new notes are created or updated, typically weekly.

How do I get an RSS reader/aggregator?
There are several different types of RSS readers/aggregators; web-based (such as Google Reader or Bloglines), browser-based (such as Firefox or Safari), or client-based (such as Feedreader or Mozilla Thunderbird). Once you have signed up for or installed an RSS reader, you can subscribe to RSS feeds.

How do I subscribe?
If you are using one of the RSS readers shown above, simply click the icon to subscribe. Or, to manually subscribe, click the XML icon, copy the URL and paste it into the subscribe area of your RSS reader.
