Error: "Could not open or create undo file. The specified file is a directory not a file"

Technical Note USA10552
Created 17-May-2004

Applies To
NetWizard 5.1

Undo

Symptoms

Error: "Could not open or create undo file. The specified file is a directory not a file"

Error: "Copy failed. File Error: Could not create undo for C:\bruce"

Cause

A backslash was missing as the last character in the path for the target directory on the agent.

Fix

Add a backslash after the directory in the target directory path when doing a file copy. This field is located on the File\Copy screen in the Package Editor. The field is called Node with a dropdown box to enter a node variable and the directory name.

Example:
%[NodeDir]\Testing\
