Symptoms
XApplication Windows shrink after being displayed normal size when using LWM.Does not occur when using a Remote Window Manager.Cause
When running an Xwindow application in Local Window Mode (LWM) windows initially appear at their normal size, but then shrink in height. It is possible to resize each window so it is usable by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Once the windows are resized by the user they remain static (don't shrink again) until closed.
Fix
Workaround: Use a Remote Window Manager such as Motif or Open Look.
